We are a team of specialist health professionals including a Lactation consultant, who focus on helping and promoting infant feeding and parent/baby relationships.

Our team of breast feeding peer support volunteers the ‘Bosom Buddy’s' provide skilled breastfeeding help, information and listening support. They are able discuss practical issues such as effective position and attachment, hand expressing and responsive feeding to support mums and their families to continue to breastfeed successfully. The Aims of the Infant Feeding Team

To promote, protect and support infant feeding choices..

To provide the highest standard of care to support expectant and new mothers and their partners to feed their baby safely and build strong and loving parent-infant relationships.

Baby Friendly Initiative - We became a level 3 accredited Baby Friendly Unit in 2010 and achieved re-accreditation in 2014.

The Infant Feeding Team help to continue this accreditation by implementing guidelines and policies to ensure the service and care we provide is best practice.
