Neonatal

The Neonatal Unit provides a full service that encompasses Intensive Care, High Dependency and Special Care services. The Unit is equipped to optimal standards. Senior neonatal nurses provide a limited community service to selected babies on discharge and who were born before thirty-two weeks gestation.

These babies also receive targeted screening for retinopathy of pre-maturity provided by one of the consultant ophthalmologists.
