NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES)
The Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) was introduced in April 2015, after engaging and consulting key stakeholders including other NHS organisations across England. It is included in the NHS standard contract for 2016/17. NHS Trusts produced and published their first WRES baseline data on 1 July 2015 and are subsequently required to publish their WRES reports annually by 1st of August; along with an annual WRES action plan which must be approved by Board. Click NHS report to view the inaugural national WRES report published by NHS England in June 2016.
NHS England WRES implementation team introduced an added requirement for 2016/2017; to share WRES data via UNIFY2. Excel and this data must be submitted to the UNIFY2 website by 1 August 2016.
The 2016/2017 WRES report for the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been approved and is now published. To see the report click WRES 2016.
There is also a new approved annual WRES action plan for 2016/2017. To view this click WRES Action plan.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust 2016 WRES data set for UNIFY2 has also been uploaded onto the national website in line with the WRES reporting timeframe requirements.
