How we make decisions
The
Trust has recently developed a set of organisational values. Those
values and their underpinning behaviours help set the tone for
current and future work practices.
The Countess values provide clear direction to all staff as to the
acceptable standards of behaviour in the workplace. They apply to
everyone working for the organisation, irrespective of their role,
length of service or their level of responsibility.
Improving the patient journey is the binding principle that guides
us all in the NHS. Delivering services for our patients means the
provision of timely and effective treatment, but it also focuses on
behaving in ways that fully support respect, dignity and
compassion. Our values encourage us to consider not just the
clinical outcomes of care, but also the ways in which that care is
provided.
The Trust values have been developed in partnership with staff
operating at various levels throughout the organisation to ensure
they are a collective commitment to our patients and to each
other.
The Countess of Chester has 6 values statements, all of equal
importance:
"Quality of care includes quality of caring"
