Postgraduate Medical Education
The Postgraduate Department is responsible for administering and
keeping records of Study Leave for Senior House Officers,
Specialist Registrar and Consultants.
The department produces a Term Programme listing the educational
content of the Clinical Lunchtime Meetings. It also advertises the
Whole Hospital Meetings (usually four per year) which are relevant
to all hospital Doctors at all grades. The department also
administers nationally accredited courses such as the Basic
Surgical Skills Course and the Child Health Promotion Course.
