New Make a Will Scheme for our donors, staff & volunteers

Take part in our Make a Will Scheme for our donors, staff & volunteers

Will making and legacy giving is something we know we should do but we put it off! There is no need to put it off any longer...

With the good will (excuse the pun!) of our participating local solicitors we are pleased to be able to bring you our new Make a Will Scheme. So why not get your affairs in order by taking advantage of our scheme - providing you with an opportunity to make a professionally written Will free* of charge.

*A basic Will for one person or mirror Wills for a couple will be prepared free of charge. Additional fees will be charged by the solicitor for more complex Wills or additional advice. These will be made clear at consultation stage.

Please see our Leaving us a Gift in your Will tab for details about how we use gifts to benefit our patients and read about our recent purchases made from legacies left to the hospital.

Scheme benefits:

  • Independent professional advice and service
  • Preparation of a basic* Will free of charge
  • Peace of mind that your affairs are in order and that your loved ones are provided for in keeping with your special wishes
  • Cost effective way to plan ahead and give you peace of mind
  • An up-to-date Will is incredibly important and the safest way to look after your loved ones and charities you care about most
  • Will making from a trust professional is perceived to be costly and a bit daunting. On the open market a basic Will for a single person or a mirror Will for a couple is approximately £250 and £350 respectively plus VAT but can be more

If you have already made a Will but would like to leave a gift to The Countess Charity, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil. Your solicitor can advise you about this.

To take part please contact Ngozi Ikoku on the contact details below who will issue you with an eligibility letter that you take along to your solicitor appointment which you make directly with one of the participating solicitors listed.
