NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES)

The Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) was introduced in April 2015, after engaging and consulting key stakeholders including other NHS organisations across England. It is included in the NHS standard contract for 2016/17. NHS Trusts produced and published their first WRES baseline data on 1 July 2015 and are subsequently required to publish their WRES reports annually by 1st of August; along with an annual WRES action plan which must be approved by Board.  Click NHS report to view the inaugural national WRES report published by NHS England in June 2016.

The 2021-2022 WRES report for the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust  has been approved and is now published. To see the report click here.
