      Countess Gem - Rod Chaloner

      Rod Chaloner, Purchasing Assistant Technical Officer in pharmacy, is our latest Countess Gem after impressing colleagues by taking on extra work during a period of intense pressure for his team. Rod, who started at The Countess last August, splits his time between working in purchasing, ordering in medications for our patients, and then processing those orders in the general stores so they can go where they are needed in the hospital. ...Read more

      Countess Gem - Kev Bowker

      Security Officer Kev Bowker is the latest Countess Gem after the Critical Care Outreach team praised him for the way he helped one of their patients. Kev joined the security team six years ago, having previously worked as a football referee, a bus driver and a taxi driver. Working as part of such a tight-knit unit in the hospital is by far his favourite role, with it being the closest to his childhood dream of being a police officer. ...Read more
