The Retinal Eye Scanner Appeal
This appeal has been set up to fundraise for an advanced retinal imaging scanner, allowing detection of both systemic and ocular pathology. This cutting-edge scanner will benefit thousands of patients receiving treatment in the Westminster Eye Unit each year. The unit treats over 40,000 patients annually and is the Trust's second busiest department after A&E!
What are the advantages of the Optos Retinal Scanner?
• It can map a wider area of the retina
• The increased ease of testing will enable us to use this on children and adults with SEN
• The high-quality images captured by the OPTOS will allow for earlier identification of eye disease
• It will improve clinic flow
