Video Consultations
As part of the NHS response to coronavirus, there has been an urgent need to transform the way we provide our Outpatient services, to prevent onsite appointments. At present, we aim to complete the majority of our appointments by telephone, however if it is recognised, that there is a requirement for a face-to-face appointment then the patient will be contacted to check if they have the necessary equipment to join a video consultation.
What is needed to conduct a video consultation?
- A good internet connection
- A computer, tablet or smartphone with a built-in camera and microphone
- Google Chrome or Safari web-browser
- A quiet and private setting
- The support of a family member or carer (as required)
