Kisiizi Hospital Project
TheKisiiziHospitalis a 200 bed hospital, run by
theChurchofUganda. TheKisiiziHospitalrelies on Government, patients
and private donations for its funding. Situated in a remote area
inSW Uganda, Kisiizi is an hour's drive away from the nearest
tarmac road.
The hospital has an outpatient department, surgical ward and
operating theatre suite, a maternity department, a children's ward,
and medical, isolation and mental health wards. We believe that the
Trust and its staff would find an institutional link with Kisiizi
beneficial and rewarding.

Sponsor a mattress
Currently most of the mattresses atKisiiziHospitalare damaged or
badly stained and are not of the standard you would expect to find
in a hospital environment. We are looking to replace all of
the mattresses (250) and just £25 will buy a brand new mattress and
cover. Every mattress purchased will make a real difference to the
level of comfort experienced by the many patients who will use them
during their stay. The new mattresses are also vital in helping to
improve levels of infection control which is one of the key areas
that the Countess Team are working closely with Kisiizi staff to
achieve.
We have currently purchased 150 mattresses - would you consider
sponsoring one to help us reach our target?
