The integrated Ursula Keyes Breast Care Unit opened in May 2003 and provides the imaging for both the National health Service Breast Screening Programme and the Symptomatic Service. This unit was the result of a major fund raising appeal in 2000, which raised £1m with some monies from the New Opportunities Fund providing the Mammography equipment.

The unit also has small field digital biopsy equipment to enable x-ray guided biopsies and localisations to be performed on non-palpable breast abnormalities.
