Neurology

The neurological service at Chester is provided by four visiting neurologists from The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool. There are four neurology clinics and one specialist MS clinic each week. The visiting neurologists also provide specialist ward consultations for inpatients if requested by the patient's the Chester consultant. In addition there are specialist neurology nurse clinics for general neurology and MS patients each week. Most investigations and follow up consultations are done at Chester but patients with more complex problems or who require more specialised investigations or inpatient treatment are seen at Walton. In addition there is one neurosurgical clinic each month provided by a visiting Walton neurosurgeon.
