Helping you stay in touch: the Family Support Team
The Family Support Team is on hand to help you to stay in touch with your loved ones, acting as a link between patients, families and friends. They operate seven days a week, from 10am until 8pm on both hospital sites: the Countess and Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The team can facilitate telephone calls, skype video calls if a patient doesn’t have their own phone or tablet and they can also pass on emails/letters to patients which can be sent to the email address below. The Family Support Team can also provide a basic update on a patient’s condition to their next of kin or designated named contact (with a password).
The team provides this service at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Ellesmere Port Hospital at the times listed below:
- Countess of Chester Hospital: 10am – 8pm, seven days a week
- Ellesmere Port Hospital: 2pm – 6pm, seven days a week
