      The Milk Bank at Chester shortlisted for the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards in the Sustainability Network or Community category

      The North Wales Neonatal Network Donor Milk Hub (a collaboration of organisations including The Milk Bank at Chester) has been shortlisted for the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards in the Sustainability Network or Community category. The North Wales Neonatal Service Donor Milk Hub, which opened at Glan Clwyd in September 2024, brings donor milk to families at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Ysbyty Gwynedd, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital, cutting down delivery miles and making milk access faster and more sustainable. ...Read more

      Successful liver cancer screening service continues to expand

      More people in West Cheshire and Ellesmere Port are finding out about the health of their liver earlier, thanks to the continued expansion of liver disease screening that’s being provided by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.       A successful implantation of the Sentio™ System in an adult patient has been performed at the Countess of Chester Hospital in the last week, making it the first hospital in the North West of England to perform this groundbreaking procedure in an adult.
