Patients, visitors and staff at Ellesmere Port Hospital will now be greeted by a striking new collection of artwork created by local artist Nicky Thompson, following a special visit by Ellesmere Port and Bromborough MP Justin Madders.
The artwork, which now lines corridors throughout the hospital, features a selection of pieces from Nicky’sacclaimed The Art of Travel exhibition which was previously on display at Ellesmere Port’s National Waterways Museum.

Children living with diabetes are swapping clinic rooms for teddy bears and playtime thanks to a new Teddy Bear Clinic launched by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The play-based initiative, which was inspired by a similar successful programme at Leeds Children's Hospital, has been designed for children under seven and their families, creating a relaxed and supportive environment where learning about diabetes becomes part of play.

The centre has secured the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) for a further three years, recognising the welcoming, supportive and person-centred environment it provides for patients, families and carers.

Patients receiving dialysis treatment at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are set to benefit from the latest generation of dialysis technology thanks to a major £350,000 investment in new equipment.
The Trust has invested in 22 new Fresenius 6008 dialysis machines, replacing equipment that has reached the end of its operational life.

People living, working and visiting the Upton area will now be able to access two new public access defibrillators at the Countess of Chester Hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located in secure external cabinets outside the Education and Training Centre and Moston Lodge, always making them publicly accessible.
