Corneal Service

The Westminster Eye Centre provides treatment for a number of conditions related to the cornea
and ocular surface in dedicated cornea clinics.

The cornea is the clear transparent window on the  very front of the eye that allows light into the eye and helps to focus this onto the retina at the back
of the eye.

The corneal team provide medical and surgical treatment and advice for a variety of corneal
conditions including:

• Keratoconus

• Corneal ulcers and infections

• Herpes simplex keratitis

• Meibomian gland dysfunction and dry eyes

• Fuch’s endothelial dystrophy

• Recurrent erosion syndrome
