Miss A Breahna FRCS (Plast), EBOPRAS, MSc, PhD , BSSH and Eur. Dip. Hand Surg
Miss Anca Breahna graduated from University of Bucharest in 1999 and began her higher specialist training in Plastic Surgery which was complemented with several fellowships in international centres of excellence at St. Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford, Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, Royal Free Hospital in London and John Hunter Hospital in Australia.
Her extensive training has been awarded with the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Plast), the Fellowship European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS), the Post Graduate Diploma for Hand Surgery at the BSSH (British Society for Surgery of the Hand), a Master of Science Degree at the University of Manchester and a PhD for her medical research in microsurgical free tissue transfer.
First appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 2016 at the world renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Miss Breahna has the honour of being one of just a handful of Plastic Surgeons in the United Kingdom to hold both British and European Diplomas in Hand Surgery, as well as the BSSH MSc in Hand Surgery.
Since 2018, Miss Breahna has joined the team at Countess of Chester Hospital as a a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a special interest in hand surgery and trauma (reconstruction of soft tissue defects post injury), skin cancer surgery and breast reconstructive surgery (after breast cancer treatment or congenital asymmetries).
